From Santa Fe to Los Alamos
While staying at the Buffalo Thunder Casino north of Santa Fe we drove the jeep over to Los Alamos. In 2011 while in the area we were unable to visit the museum, etc. because the wildfires were so near the area was evacuated and closed to traffic.
This is one of the many sculptures at the casino.
We visited Valle Grande before going into Los Alamos. This is a favorite site for seeing elk but not this time.
After Valle Grande we went back to Los Alamos to theMuseum.
Francis understood all this and enjoyed it much more than I.

Quebradas Back Country Byway
Friends that are volunteering at Ft. Craig (a BLM site) had told us about a trip they had taken and enjoyed. So when we left Elephant Butte Lake SP on April 2, we drove the motorhome north to Ft. Craig to visit Lyn and Steve. The next morning we took the jeep and headed out the Byway.
The mountains were beautiful with many colored outcroppings.
A little early for flowers but we did see a few.
Redecorating Alfa’s bedroom
While I really like the layout and space in our motorhome, I was not pleased with the decoration of the bedroom. The print was very large so when I found this fabric which was a small weave design I had to get busy.

While we have made several trips through the Monticello Box Canyon, a trip to show it to George B. with Rae and Joe going along in their jeep made a great outing.
