As we were driving out Hwy. 112 in route to Toas we saw elk in the field.
The bridge is 650” high the second largest suspension bridge in the nation.
This church is San Francisco de Asis and is said to be one of the most painted churches in New Mexico. The doors of the parish house are beautifully carved.
These pictures are our first view from Wild Rivers National Recreation Area in July, 2011. Upon our return to El Vado we made contact with the ranger and are currently (May, 2012) volunteering in this area.
