Looking out the window at Eielson Visitor’s Center the glass has been etched and markers for your height placed in the floor to assist visitors in locating “The Mountain”. However today the clouds prevent its viewing.
There is also a sign to assist with locating Denali (McKinley).
This relief map is used to light up the different routes taken when climbing the mountain.
If Denali were in view it would be to the right of this mountain which we were told is about one third the height of Denali.
We did not see Denali during our visit this time in the park.
